Welping received feedback from the construction site regarding a large-scale pipeline construction project:
The project needs to install a pipeline with a diameter of 1.6 meters. It was known that adopting the butt fusion machine with the traditional structure would cause the following problems:
- The welding efficiency was low, because the pipe clamping was manually locked by screws.
- The traditional butt fusion machine adopts separate structure of the hydraulic station and the main frame along with various electrical wires and hydraulic hoses, which affects the construction efficiency and has various potential safety hazards.
In order to solve the construction problem, Welping technical engineering team went to the site for inspection and analysis. After returning to the company, we instantaneously arranged technicians to discuss the design of the new machine. Then we worked after hours to generate drawings, proofing, assembling and verifying. The first machine was finally delivered in just about 30 days.
After the new machine was used in the field, it resulted in increasing pipeline connection efficiency by 50%, a notable improvement to the customer's project time.
