Welping received feedback from the construction site regarding a large-scale pipeline construction project:
The project needs to install a pipeline with a diameter of 1.6 meters. It was known that adopting the butt fusion machine with the traditional structure would cause the following problems:
- The welding efficiency was low and it was inconvenient for machine handling and pipe fitting installation and pipe clamping.
- The traditional butt fusion machine adopts separate structure of the hydraulic station and the main frame along with various electrical wires and hydraulic hoses, which affects the construction efficiency and has various potential safety hazards.
In order to solve the construction problems, Welping technical engineering team directly went to the construction site to check and analyze. After returning from the site, we instantaneously prepared technical personnel to discuss the design plan of the new machine, and worked after hours to create drawings, proofing, assembling and verification.
In order to deliver the construction tools to the customer as soon as possible, our design, management, and manufacturing personnel were on site for several days in a row to smoothen and complete the delivery of the first batch of machines in only about 30 days, which usually took 45 days or even 60 days to complete.
The new but fusion machine has operated on the construction site, which increased the efficiency by 50%, and has greatly improved the customer's project progress. Compared to the traditional structure, the newly designed 1600AH butt welding machine has two obvious features:
- Integrated electrical and hydraulic control units simplified the assembly of the machine and improved the safety factor.
- The hydraulic external pipe clamp greatly increases the efficiency of clamping and disassembling pipe fittings, which saves labor and has high precision.
